How do I download movies?

Connect to the Internet, install and open Download Manager and the movies you buy will start downloading automatically. That’s all there is to it!

How do I play movies?

From your Download Manager, select your movie and click the play button. Windows media player will launch (make sure you have it installed!) and your film will start playing right away. From here you can pause, stop, rewind and fast forward.

How do I delete items from my download manager?

Select the film and click Cancel - it will ask if you want to remove the job, click OK. The status will change to Cancelled. Click the Cancel button again, click OK and the item will be removed from the download manager. Dont forget - to remove the film from your computer permanently you will need to delete it from hard drive (e.g. c:\Vizumi\download)

How long does it take?

It depends on how fast your broadband connection is and the size of the film. The table below should give you a rough idea:

BROADBAND SPEED
File Size 2Mbps 10MBps
500MB – typical size for a HQ film 35 mins 8 mins
1.2 GB - typical size for an SHQ film 1 hour 25 mins 17 mins

Are files sent using Peer to Peer?

No – we send you the files direct from our own servers situated here in the UK.

How do I sync the film to my portable video player?

After downloading your files, open Windows Media Player and select the portable copy (marked PORT) from your library playlist. Right-click on the title and select ‘add to sync’ list. When you plug in your video player it should start synching.

How do I find out which files can be synched?

Select the file as above, right-click and select ‘properties’. Look at the ‘License’ tab to see all the information about the file – how many times it can be played, rental expiry (if it has one) and whether it can be synched.

I can’t play my movie!

First check that the license hasn’t expired – if it’s a rental you have 7 days to play the movie but as soon as you start playing you have between 24 and 48hours to finish watching. You can check this by looking at the license as detailed above.

If this isn’t the problem – please contact Customer Services who will be able to help you out.

How do I get movies onto my Archos player?

There are two options:

  1. Purchase a movie bundle – all bundles come with a portable file which you can simply sync to your Archos player using windows media player.
  2. If you have a GEN5 Archos you can download rentals direct (see more info below).

How do you ‘Sync’ movies to a portable device?

Once the portable file has finished downloading to your PC you can synch it to your Archos player from Windows Media Player. Ensure your Archos player is connected to your computer via the USB cable. Right-click the portable file in Windows Media Player and select Add to Sync List. Then click Start Sync.

How do you download movies direct to your GEN5 Archos player?
